Route-specific Requirements

Different immigration routes have specific requirements. For example:

• Skilled Worker Route: Employers must demonstrate they can offer a job meeting the skill and salary levels required, that the job is genuine, and that there is a direct employer-employee relationship.

• UK Expansion Worker Route: Employers must show they can meet skill and salary levels, that the job is genuine, and that there is a qualifying link between the UK and overseas businesses. The overseas business should not already be trading in the UK, but have a UK presence, be active and trading overseas for at least three years, and plan to establish a UK trading presence within two years.
